Food Waste Composting Program Register View Cart

Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation is partnering with SWACO's 'Save More Than Food' campaign that is designed to help residents reduce food waste at home by providing resources to help prevent, donate and compost in our community. 

Public food waste drop-off programs provides residents, who may otherwise not be able to compost, to divert food scrapes from their home. Sites are free to use for residents.

Registration for all residents to participate is encouraged to stay connected to program updates and reminders.

Drop-off location is in the Spangler Field parking lot - 7260 East Livingston Avenue.

Approved items for drop-off:
  • Fruits and Vegetables: Including peels, cores, seeds, and scraps.
  • Grains, Pasta, and Baked Goods: This includes breads, cereals, and other grain-based products.
  • Beans and Legumes: Both raw and cooked.
  • Coffee Grounds: Including paper coffee filters.
  • Tea Bags: Provided they are not made of plastic or contain staples.
  • Eggs and Eggshells: Shells should be crushed to aid decomposition.
  • Dairy Products: This includes milk, yogurts, cheeses, and other dairy items.
  • Meat: Both cooked and raw meat, including seafood and shellfish.
  • Small Bones: These are often accepted at drop-off locations.
  • Sauces, Condiments, and Syrups:
  • Seasonings, Herbs, and Spices:
  • Sweets and Candies:
  • Small amounts of oil or grease
